Carambula

Carambola is also known under the 'star fruit' name. The fruit takes on the shape of a star when it is cut through the centre or cut into slices. The fruit has a green to yellow-ish colour. The skin is smooth and slightly shiny. The flesh is firm and juicy. The carambola has a sour to sweet and sour taste. The fruit is seedless or contains small, edible 12 mm seeds.
